Apparel production, nailed.
Once you have a great design, getting it produced is where the fun begins…
A complex process, done right—always
Apparel production isn't easy. To consistently ship world-class products takes decades of combined expertise and a rigorous system of checks and approvals. Our factory relationships and logistics frameworks are truly second to none.
We make it nearly impossible not to receive the perfect garments.
From design to delivery, Canvas CAG takes care of every step along the journey with prompt communication and the expert guidance you both need and expect.
Why Our Process Works
Every fabric, trim, color, print, and fit detail is reviewed and approved by you before production begins. You’ll get an exact, pre-production sample (PP sample) and sign off on it only when you're completely satisfied.
Beyond fabric and trim approvals, we perform randomized pre-production audits, size set reviews, and top-of-production inspections to ensure consistency, fit accuracy, and compliance with your approved sample. Every garment is held to the standard of your signed-off PP sample.
By the time bulk production starts, everything is exactly as you approved.
This isn’t a one-off process—it’s what we do, every day. Rest easy. We’ve got this.
Checks at every step:
Lab dip color matching
Small dyed fabric swatches are submitted for approval to confirm color accuracy against Pantone codes or reference samples. Ensures consistent color across production and future reorders.
Print and decoration strike-offs
Printed fabric samples are produced using the final artwork and print method (screen, sublimation, heat transfer, etc.) for approval. Confirms scale, placement, color accuracy, and print quality before applying to bulk fabric.
Trim and notions approvals
All secondary materials—such as zippers, buttons, drawcords, eyelets, and labels—are reviewed and approved for color, quality, and function. Guarantees that every component meets brand standards and production readiness.
Fit and wear testing
Garments are tested on real fit models for sizing accuracy, range of motion, comfort, and durability. Helps refine patterns, ensure proper grading, and avoid issues with garment wearability in the field.
Size Set Approval
A complete range of sizes (e.g., S–XL) is produced in sample form and checked for spec accuracy, proportional grading, and consistency across sizes.
Pre-Production Sample (PP Sample)
This is the final sample made using bulk materials, trims, and construction before full production begins. It’s the most critical checkpoint before go-ahead is given.
TOP Sample (Top of Production)
Samples pulled randomly from the first run of actual production. Used to confirm that bulk production matches the approved PP sample. Ensures consistency between approved design and production output.
In-Line Quality Inspections
Quality checks performed during production to catch issues before garments are finished. This includes stitching accuracy, panel alignment, and defect screening.
Final Inspection / AQL Check
Before shipping, a randomized quality audit is conducted on finished goods, often using AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) standards. Confirms defect levels are within tolerances for shipment approval.
Packaging & Labeling Checks
Verifies that barcodes, tags, folding, bagging, and carton labeling match customer specs and retailer compliance standards.
